Seattle-based real estate developer R.C. Hedreen Company required a comprehensive media relations campaign to complement the marketing of Olive 8, its 39-story condominium hotel tower in downtown Seattle. Planned during Seattle’s condominium construction boom, R.C. Hedreen needed to distinguish Olive 8 and position the building as the leader of the pack in order to sell homes before construction actually began.

Solution

Frause created and implemented an aggressive media relations campaign that set Olive 8 apart. The campaign played up the amenities and assisted living factor of the luxury hotel, The Hyatt at Olive 8. Other factors, like focusing a buyer event on the famous New York City architect enlisted to design Olive 8, offered the potential for additional media profile pieces.

Outcomes/Results

Media coverage included the front page of the Seattle Times’ local news and business sections and two eight-plus page spreads in Seattle Magazine. Additional hits included Seattle Business Monthly, the Puget Sound Business Journal, NW Home + Garden magazine, ARCADE: The Northwest Journal of Architecture and Design, and feature stories on NBC’s KING 5 television news.
